When a person is detected in the Danger Zone , the active camera image is displayed with a flashing red rectangle and the intensity of the audible alert is increased . External voice alarms and flashing lights can be activated to warn pedestrian personnel . If the operator fails to react , the PROVIX CAS system will disconnect the throttle and apply brake pressure to avoid a run over accident .
An integrated radar system that can be deployed on up to four faces of the equipment provides early warnings of pending collisions with any type of object . Radar , like AI-aided cameras , can be programmed to detect at distances specific to the equipment and the environment .
An AI-based CAS will also be displayed at Matrix Design Group ’ s MINExpo booth .

It has also collaborated with Herrenknecht on the use of Shaft Boring Roadheader machines , delivering the world ' s first two shafts sunk using this method for BHP at Jansen in Canada .
