Stories that Move, Anne Frank House, The Netherlands

Marta Closas was born in Barcelona and studied Advertising and Public Relations at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She began her career in the communication field before moving to the Netherlands to work as a volunteer at the Anne Frank House, where she now works as a project coordinator. Marta holds an MA in Media, Culture, and Society from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Currently, Closas serves as an international coordinator for “Stories that Move” and as a trainer and project coordinator for the Anne

Frank Youth Network. Passionate about education and social impact, she is dedicated to fostering dialogue and critical thinking among young people worldwide.

Stories that Move is a multilingual free online toolbox for teaching about diversity and discrimination, guided by young people’s real stories and experiences. The online toolbox consists of five learning paths that are complete modules for educators to build their lessons around. The audience was interested in the practical issues concerning the toolbox, such as its structure, mission, and available language versions, which also included country-specific context and personal stories; the connection of the toolbox to the education about the Holocaust and WWII; and its role in fostering the reflection about one’s own prejudices and the ways of counteracting them.
