Teaching method

In this school, student’s effort is the center of the learning process. Therefore, teacher value and respect student’s work. The teacher’s role is to plan and review the student-learning plan. In addition, they have to observe and record children’s development and suggest what could be the next step to follow.

MY EXPERIENCE

After the visit, I was impress because we were able to observe all the groups while they were in class, and it was amazing the Distribution of the classrooms and the material. Even in the hallway, there were space to work and some of the material that students could use. I believe that students need to touch things and work with real objects in order to fully understand the concepts.

Moreover, I was able to observe and see how the heterogeneous groups work, which is not a new method for me, but it is always nice to see different ways to deal with heterogeneous groups as each teacher has a different style.

Nowadays, the new trend is to work through projects and many schools are starting to use projects instead of subjects. I think that it would have been nice to see how the different groups were working on the different projects they had.

I believe that this method has great inputs like the heterogenous groups and the working periods, that overall allows pupils to learn freely.
