First on the list of festivals in the UK is Download festival in Donington Park, Leicestershire. The festival will start on June 13th and lasts until the 15th. Two weeks before the start of the festival more will be announced about what can be done on the terrain. Some of the headliners are Linkin Park, Aerosmith, Fall Out Boy, Within Temptation, The Offspring and Bad Religion.
Second is Glastonbury. It is considered one of the biggest festivals in Europe. It will be held from June 27th until the 29th in Pilton, Somerset. Every year about 135,000 tickets will be sold for the festival. Headlining this year are Metallica, Dolly Parton, Skrillex, Jake Bugg, Arcade Fire, Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey, Foster the People and Imagine Dragons. More attractions will be announced on a later date.
The next on the list is Wireless. This year the festival will be held in both London and Birmingham on July 4th until the 6th. The artists playing in London on Friday the 4th will play in Birmingham on Sunday the 6th, the artists playing in London on Saturday will play in Birmingham on Friday and the lastly the artists playing in London on Sunday will play in Birmingham on Saturday. The main three headliners are Kanye West, Bruno Mars and Drake, but other well-known artists performing are Pharrell Williams, Rudimental and Outkast.
Last mention worthy in the UK festival season is Reading and Leeds festival. Again, it has the same principal as Wireless and V Festival (though they were the first to do it). As the festival name says the two locations are Leeds and Reading. The festival lasts from August 22nd until the 24th. Artist playing in Reading on Friday the 22nd play in Leeds on Saturday, artists playing in Reading on Saturday play in Leeds on Sunday and the artists playing in Reading on Sunday play in Leeds on Friday. Some of the headlining acts are Queens of the Stone Age, Paramore, Blink-182, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend and Imagine Dragons.
