Celebrating Easter during COVID-19
This year, Easter Sunday falls on April 12. Unfortunately, this year’s Easter Sunday will also
take place as the world deals with the COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused a number of
states including Alabama to issue shelter-in-place orders, close businesses and move to online
school. This may also put a damper on your Easter church service, family lunch or egg hunting
plans, but fear not, there are plenty of things you can do from the comfort of your home to
celebrate the holiday.
Decorate eggs
You can boil eggs and use food dye or
even food from your own pantry (like
beets, turmeric or onion skins) to create
multicolored eggs for Easter.
Have an indoor Easter egg hunt
Hide eggs in the dryer, under your bed or
37
in the cabinet. Then watch your loved ones
look around for them. Need help? Let You've
Been EGGED do the job for you!
Do Easter-themed arts and crafts
Make paper bunnies or craft flowers out of
cardboard; the possibilities are endless. Just
get your Pinterest on and get creative!
