Watch Easter-themed movies
Whether you choose the fun route with a
film like “Here Comes Peter Cottontail” or
“Hop” or opt for deeper fare like “The Passion
of the Christ,” “The Robe” or “Ben-Hur,” an
Easter screening is a safe and fun way to
acknowledge the holiday.
Live stream a church service
If church is part of your family’s Easter
tradition, you can still attend your Sunday
morning service from the comfort of your
home. Though many physical churches have
closed their doors to comply with social
distancing, services are still happening via
livestream platforms like Facebook Live and
on church websites. You can even dress up.
Cook an Easter meal
If the bare grocery store shelves aren’t an
obstacle, buy the ingredients to cook your
favorite holiday lunch. Even if you can't have
the whole family together, you should still
enjoy a great Easter meal.
Schedule a video call with the rest
of the family
With social distancing rules, stay-in-place
orders and curfews, chances are you won't
be able to be around the rest of the family for
easter, sharing a laugh with grand-parents
while kids are running around trying to find
the most plastic eggs to fill up their easter
basket. Once you're finished with your indoor
egg hunt, try to schedule a video call with
everyone and share in the fun with them!
While the current pandemic will definitely
put a damper on this year's Easter Sunday
INSIGHT
celebrations, it doesn't have to ruin it. Make
a point to dress up in your Easter Sunday's
best, cook a great meal, hunt eggs and find
ways to connect with the rest of the family.
You'll be glad you did! ✽
