Oscar & Bentleys is a traditional bistro serving
exciting, freshly made food in the heart of
Canterbury. We have an interesting range of
dishes, changing seasonally, sourced locally and
prepared by our talented team of chefs.
Oscar & Bentleys is located just off the High Street
in the beautiful, historic Ben Johnson building. Our
intimate modern/art deco designed dining rooms
are the perfect place for all your dining experiences,
from brunch or a quick lunch to a leisurely evening
meal. Private parties are also available.
We can cater for all your food allergies/intolerances,
just let our friendly front of house team know your
requirements. We are very proud to have won the
Free From Eating Out Award Best Restaurant and
Best Business in the UK.
Delicious starters include tempura king prawns and
salt & pepper squid. Our hearty main courses such
as beer-battered fish & chips, seasonal curries and
cassoulets and our stunning sirloin steak with onion
rings and all the trimmings are firm favourites.
We always have a fantastic selection of desserts
including our famous sticky toffee pudding.
We have a great children’s menu. High chairs and
baby change are available. There is always a good
selection for our vegan guests, including a vegan ice
cream! We also welcome well-behaved dogs.

The Bickley
The Bickley ticks all the boxes you need in a great
local pub. We’re family friendly with a kids’ menu,
play area, and all set in leafy rural surroundings.
Parking is available if you’re driving and we’re only
a stone’s throw from the train station if you’re not.
The ceilings are high, the garden huge, the food and
beer delicious and the welcome always warm. Not
to mention our Sunday roast that will knock your
socks off!
Look out for our weekly food offers; our famous
rotisserie chicken is always succulent and is a firm
favourite with all the family. Or drop in for our
steak night offer; two 8oz steaks cooked to your
liking plus a bottle of house red or white wine. Don’t
worry; we always have vegetarian and gluten free
options available too.
