Hadlow Bar & Grill
With its oak beams and open fireplaces the Hadlow Bar & Grill
has an inviting atmosphere full of traditional charm. At
lunchtimes it’s the perfect choice for a sandwich, bar snack or
the ever popular Sunday roast, however I would thoroughly
recommend a visit in the evening when it is transformed into a
sophisticated bar and restaurant.
The grade II listed building was formerly a farmhouse dating
back to the early 16th century and has very recently been given
a modern makeover by new owner James O’Keefe. The grey and
white colour scheme gives it a crisp and clean contemporary
finish that contrasts well with the black beams, dark wood
floors and table tops. The large mirrors and windows around all
walls give the large restaurant area an even more spacious and
airy feel and a very attractive outlook over the well-maintained
gardens.
In the evenings the restaurant is busy with a mix of families,
couples and groups of friends, proving this to be an ideal venue
suitable for all occasions. The combination of chitchat and
laughter, friendly, attentive waiting staff and various music
playing quietly in the background makes for a very relaxed and
informal vibe.
