Turner Contemporary’s café is a great place to sit back and relax
with family and friends. Nestled on the edge of Margate harbour,
overlooking the beautiful North Sea, the gallery’s café offers
seasonal locally sourced menus throughout the year.
You can enjoy the modern seasonal food and drink, whatever the
weather. Overlook the same skies Britain's favourite painter JMW
Turner, the gallery's namesake, described as 'the loveliest in all
Europe'. Experience the sunset all year round and in the warmer
months, enjoy a glass of Prosecco on the outdoor terrace. Take in
the atmosphere of a cold winter’s day from inside the café through
floor-to-ceiling windows as you dig into a winter warmer. The café’s
varied menu includes homemade soups and salads, along with hot
dishes and weekly specials.
Seasonal locally sourced menus
The food is local and seasonal with ingredients sourced from
independent suppliers within 40 kilometres of Margate. These
include: Gadd’s Brewery, Moors Juices, JC Rooks & Son butchers,
Fruits de Mer, Simply Ice Cream, Windmill Community Gardens and
Nash Farm.
