Sitting on the harbour-front overlooking the
fishermen’s day-boats, Rocksalt’s glass walled
dining room and terrace hang right over the water,
giving diners unrivalled views out across the Kent
coast, and even the chance to see the day’s catch
being delivered direct to the kitchen. The menu
pays homage to the abundance of quality local
produce from Kent and the surrounding area, with
local farms supplying meat, vegetables and cheese.
Enjoy the simple but expertly prepared dishes on
chef patron Mark Sargeant’s and head chef Simon
Oakley’s menus that allow ingredients to shine
through; with dishes including Lemon Sole with
Potted Shrimp Butter, Folkestone Hot Shells
cooked in the kitchens Josper Grill and Cold
Chocolate and Sea Buckthorn Fondant.
The main dining room includes a curved terrace for
al fresco dining with the sweeping vista offering
the perfect setting to complement the food.
Upstairs is the bar and heated outdoor terrace
where local beers, delicious cocktails and food
from our bar menu can be enjoyed.

banana). There are also weekly specials, using

from a well-considered selection of local lagers,
ales and cider. Coffee is from Climpson & Sons
and tea hails from Tregothnan, Britain’s only tea
plantation.
