Folkestone Harbour ’ s Free Summer Cinema
Some familiar crowd pleasing titles are to be shown throughout summer 2023 completely free in The Goods Yard at Folkestone Harbour . As the sun begins to set on a busy day by the seaside , The Goods Yard will come alive with sing-a-longs , cult classics and adored cinema titles on The Harbour Screen , completely free for visitors to enjoy .
With a mixture of outdoor cinema musts including Baz Luhrmann ’ s Romeo + Juliet and Grease , paired with cult classics such as Mean Girls and Ferris Bueller ’ s Day Off as well as newer releases that include Top Gun : Maverick , there will be a movie to suit all ages and tastes . All screenings will take place at 7pm , and if you want to drink or dine while you enjoy your film , tables are available on a first come , first served basis .
The Harbour Screen also plays host to the most important sports of the day and live events throughout the summer too . All of these events will also be entirely free to enjoy . These include Wimbledon from 3-16 July , FIFA Women ’ s World Cup from 20 July-20 August and the Rugby World Cup from 8 September-28 October .
The Goods Yard itself , which is anchored by the Big Screen , is Folkestone Harbour ’ s buzzing outdoor street food plaza . Home to an eclectic mix of 10 independent businesses , the vastness of the offering in The Goods Yard means there is something for everyone ’ s appetite and taste .
