NIGHTINGALE
Ballet at Lullingstone Castle Nightingale - 26 July
Nightingale , a brand-new biographical ballet based on the life and works of Florence Nightingale is a family friendly ballet by New Creations Collective . You know the legend , but how much do you really know about the lady behind the lamp ? Get to know Florence like never before through this original production celebrating the world-changing achievements of a female national hero .
Narrated extracts from Florence ’ s personal diaries bring her story to life through her own words , alongside a brand-new score , original choreography and an evocative set and costumes . Building on the success of NCC ’ s 2021 and 2022 performance of The Secret Garden , they are excited to offer you another sublime original score by Adam Kornas and more authentic , story-telling centred , choreography by Nina Monteiro . The performance is suitable for all ages although New Creations Collective do have a gentle recommendation in place of 8 + due to the exploration of themes such as war .
The Gatehouse entrance will be ready to welcome visitors at 1.30pm and after the performance ticket holders can also enjoy free access to The World Garden and grounds until 6pm . Bring picnic blankets and folding chairs . The Castle Café Marquee and the nursery will be both open from 1.30pm .
