The food . Head chef Darryl Quested has an imaginative and clearly very natural culinary instinct and the Sunday lunch menu ( two-course , £ 28 ; three-course , £ 33 ; kids ’ roast and ice cream , £ 7.95 ) has something for everyone from whipped cod roe and bread ( taramasalata , but seriously elevated ) for smaller appetites to truly incredible roasts with either grassfed beef , corn-fed chicken , fish of the day or roasted cauliflower steak served as the main event . The sides are glorious , the desserts are heavenly , the wine list is inspired , and , of course , mum receives a complimentary glass of bubbles .
