Deliverable
2.1.1 Identify cultural learning requirements specific to the
training needs of KU staff and to the needs of the Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander communities we operate in, and the
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families we
support.
2.1.2 Develop and implement a cultural awareness training
strategy for KU Board and staff, defining their current,
emerging and aspirational cultural learning needs in all areas
of our organisation and considering various ways in which
cultural learning can be provided (for example, online, face to
face workshops, or cultural immersion).
2.1.3 Investigate opportunities to work with Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, Traditional
Owners and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
consultants to develop and implement cultural training
specific to the needs of KU staff.
2.1.4 Provide opportunities for RWG members, Board,
Executive Team members, Central Office Staff and other key
leaders to participate in cultural training.
2.1.5 Promote and communicate the Reconciliation Australia
Share Our Pride online tool to all staff.
