But how do you recognize that you’ve changed or progressed? Well, here
are a few questions that will help you recognize change or progress at a
deeper level.
• Do you reflect more positively on some of the past traumatic events
in your life?
• Do you feel more at peace with yourself?
• Do you feel that you can manage negative feelings and respond to life
challenges with optimism?
• Do you feel “collected” for longer periods (days, weeks, months, or
hours—depending on where you started)?
• Are you able to understand the consequences of your behavior and
do any of the consequences influence your behavior?
