who was really in the music scene around Indianapolis . So we would go out and meet all the bands she knew such as Stereo Deluxe , The Language , Margot and The Nuclear So and Sos , Re Vera and such . I had never expected to learn about so many different styles of people and music . The experience and love that these people had created was in itself , a type of heavenly experience . Almost , like living a dream or a movie . This opened up my eyes to bands such as Modest Mouse , Nada Surf , Hanson , Flobots , Matisyahu , Minus the Bear , Common , and etc . I couldn ’ t really find someone to play with at the time so i started my own project called YouThrewMeThroughYou .

I started out playing guitar when i was about 11 years old . My family and I went to a little guitar shop in Greenwood , Indiana , and my step mother showed me a few things and she handed me a guitar and I picked it up like riding a bike almost . What really got me into playing was Metallica , Ozzy ( bark at the moon album ) and Stevie Ray Vaughn ’ s rendition of Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix . I grew up in Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children ’ s home . Nearly everyone there had different music influences so i kind of listened to whatever made me see or feel something new as a kid yah know , seeing everything from someone else ’ s perspective . So naturally i just wanted to play everything . After being at the home , I had to move out with my dad in Monroe , Oregon . There , I met my first band mate , Zac Mange ’ and Matt Pecorilla . We started a band for Zac ’ s senior project . We called it Altered Perspective . I played drums mostly in this band . There wasn ’ t much to do in such a small town , so we decided to form a band to kind of get ourselves out of our situations in a sense . The band was a mixture of Nirvana , Incubus , Blink 182 , Bob Marley and Ben Harper . After I had left Oregon i move to Kissimmee , Florida Where I had discovered Rise Against . Left Florida when i was 17 . Then i went back to my home state out in Indiana . There i got into a band called Hope Burns to Ash . We only played one show with them , but the style they played help me curve my playing abilities . There style was metalcore , which wasn ’ t really my style , but defiantly opened my eyes to a different genre . From here , I ended up dating a girl when i turned 18

After a long process of trying to find myself , I found myself out in Delaware , Ohio . Where I met my friends from Morpheem . We played a mix style of hip hop and alternative / grunge rock . We were together for a little over 2 years , playing with bands such as , X factor 1 , Act of Violence , Lost Chapter , Otep , Flaw , Hed Pe , Sever , Straight Line Stitch , and alot of local bands who played around the Columbus , Ohio Scene . When we broke up , me and the lead singer Jay decided to start our own band with guys from Act of Violence and some of our friends . We called ourselves Survival of the Fittest . We were a techno / grunge / rap / hiphop / dubstep / jam / alt / metal / hardcore band . We were trying everything and everything we could in that band . Most of the songs we had just jammed out and played one show out in Virginia . From there , i kinda of jumped from band to band trying to figure out what i wanted to do . Bands such as Altus , Planets of Neptune , and a few jam band . I had no idea what i wanted to do , and at the time life was getting really hard for me . Jumping around from place to place i decided to flip a dime ..... duh duh duh . So back to Indianapolis I went , where i met up with the singer of The Language , Luka Raykovich . We decided that we wanted to go out and start playing open mic at different bars mostly so i could back into the routine of playing out and such . We ended up at Lizards Lounge one night where i met up with my current guitar player , Kip Newby . Having had a lot of experience in the music underground scene , Kip and I decide to form a band . Ecstasy . There is a lot more that I could put on here but for the most part this is my side of the story . We are currently working as hard as we can to get our songs out there . Show people how we think . Show people that music was always here and never died . With us its about the Love , and the Experience we as musicians have with each other . We all pull for the same thing . Happiness . A way to show our hearts without having to break ourselves so much . This is my life , my first love , and most important , my dream .
