Miley Cyrus- Inspired:
You may have Malibu on repeat, but a gem that I’m here to talk about is this very underrated song. Just like in Wrecking Ball, Cyrus does justice to her vocals with soothing country beats. The retro feel and heartfelt lyrics resonated with me and serve to show how she was inspired by her father. I also recommend the live performance of this song at One Love Manchester for some. goosebumps.
Major Lazer ft. Travis Scott, Camila Cabello & Quavo:
Know No Better: This killer track not only is studded with stars, but also has so many different textures of sounds. Though the array of elements and different sounds could’ve made it chaotic, Quavo’s rap and Cabello’s catchy chorus with the beats make you sway your hips and is the perfect weekend anthem.
Bruno Mars ft. David Guetta:
Versace on the Floor: 24K Magic and That’s What I Like outshone this slow jam, however this underrated song brings out Mars’ soft and more romantic side that we’re more associated with. It has a slow paced R&B feel to it that definitely makes it a throwback to the disco music. I loved and definitely recommend the calm yet upbeat tone of the song.
