CELEB Q & A
JAMIE-LEE DOMBURG
“ I’ ve learned that this idea that‘ balance’ can be quite elusive – it’ s not always what we think it should look like. Some days I’ m all in with Luca, fully present, and other days my work needs more of me. And instead of constantly trying to even it out, I’ ve learned to be OK with that. For me, it’ s become less about balance and more about being intentional. Being where I am, fully. Letting go of the guilt on the days it doesn’ t look perfect. Motherhood has really taught me grace. As long as I’ m showing up with love and purpose in each moment, that’ s enough.”

“ Being a mother to a two-year-old while also being a businesswoman, reality TV personality, content creator, wife, and homemaker can look graceful from the outside, but the truth is, it’ s challenging. And I think it’ s important to be honest about that, because so many women carry it all so elegantly that it almost looks effortless – but it’ s not. What I’ ve learned is that balance isn’ t about perfection, it’ s about purpose. For me, it comes down to one simple mindset:‘ If not me, then who?’ I show up every day, striving to be the best version of myself, not just for my career, but for my son. I want him to grow up knowing that his mother didn’ t just bring something to the table – she is the table. And in that, I’ ve found my balance.”

“ Being a mother is what is always the most important, and making sure you give your children the best of you. You can still have an amazing career by ensuring you have a good daily routine and use resources and time wisely. It is great for children to see their mothers succeed in their careers, provided they get all the love and affection they so need.” IB
