Mzansi is often divided by headlines. Luzanne accidentally created something that did the opposite. For a brief moment, South Africans were united by one simple question: just how much can a blazer change a person?
Apparently, quite a lot.
MORE THAN A JACKET While social media sees confidence and style, Luzanne sees something much more personal. The blazer became a shield during difficult seasons in her life. For years, she wore it while carrying hurt, insecurity, and self-doubt that many people never saw.
“ When I put on my blazer, I felt different,” she says.“ It gave me courage, strength, and confidence.”
Sometimes confidence arrives in unexpected forms. For some, it’ s a new haircut. For others, it’ s a pair of heels. For Luzanne, it was sharp tailoring.
The blazer helped her stand taller long before social media ever noticed.

MZANSI’ S FAVOURITE BLAZER QUEEN? Being recognised at airports and shopping centres is exciting. Hearing strangers shout:“ Kyk wat doen‘ n blazer!” still catches her off guard.
But her favourite encounters happen at schools.
“ Schools make me the happiest,” she says.“ There is something incredibly special about meeting young people, hearing their stories, and having the opportunity to encourage them or share a little advice. Those moments mean the world to me.”
