Jefferson Hills Advances Borough Signage Project with New Installations

The Borough of Jefferson Hills recently unveiled a series of new signs as part of its ongoing Borough Signage Project. Phase Two is now complete, bringing fresh, new signs to key locations including the Borough Building entrance, Borough Building parking lot, Public Works Department, and along State Route 51. We thank the Public Works Department for their quick work and attention to detail in completing these installations.
In addition to the Phase Two portion, a new sign has been installed on the amphitheater in Andrew E. Reilly Memorial Park. The Dale T. Provins Jr. Memorial Amphitheater sign was made possible by community votes and the work of 84 Lumber Sign Shop.
These enhancements are part of a continued effort to keep the Borough welcoming, accessible, and a well-marked place for all residents and visitors.

Supporting SouthEast Regional EMS: Why Your Subscription Matters

In times of crisis, every second counts, and in Jefferson Hills, SouthEast Regional EMS( SEREMS) is there when it matters most. But many residents may not realize that this vital emergency service is not fully funded by tax dollars. Instead, it relies heavily on community support through its Annual Ambulance Subscription Drive.
Last year, only 13 % of Jefferson Hills households subscribed. That number is sobering, especially when you consider the critical role SEREMS plays in delivering lifesaving care throughout the Borough and beyond( 12,048 responses in 2024).
COST OF READINESS Unlike other services, EMS agencies like SEREMS face a unique challenge: while they are required by law to maintain specialized medical equipment and training, they must also absorb the cost of those requirements. With the number of EMS providers in Allegheny County dropping over the past few years from over 150 to fewer than 40, agencies are stretched thinner than ever before.
Without adequate participation, the sustainability of these services could be
at risk. Subscribing isn’ t just a financial decision; it’ s an investment in the safety of our community.
Your subscription helps ensure:
• Local, dedicated ambulance coverage
• Readiness with lifesaving equipment and trained paramedics
