Esports State Champs: Angelo Mariano, Dominic Fincham, McGuire Blatz, Nicholas Young, and Peter Fromeyer, members of Overwatch 2 Team Green, celebrate their PIEA championship.
• The Girls Varsity Track Team made it to the WPIAL Finals finishing in 4th place overall. As individuals, several WPIAL medals were captured this season including the girls 4x800m relay and girls 100m and 300m hurdles with first place victories. Girls 4x400m relay and boys pole vault took 2nd, and girls 1,600m run earned 3rd. At the PIAA individual championship, Delaney Schumaker placed in hurdles with 5th in the 100m and 7th in the 300m. Jenson Gregorich finished 8th in pole vault, and the girls 4x800m relay team of Emily Sinton, Nina DiMartini, Siya Joshi, and Angela Zeng took 5th place.
• Boys Varsity Lacrosse went into the WPIAL Class 2A Section 1 playoffs as the first seed and were undefeated until facing last year’ s nemesis, Mars, in the championship game where they fell with a final score of 7- 5. They qualified for the PIAA playoffs, defeating Meadville 23-2 in the first round, but losing to Trinity in the quarterfinals.
• Girls Varsity Lacrosse won the first round of the WPIAL Class 2A Section 2 playoffs and finished with a 12-7 record for the season.
• Boys Varsity Volleyball succeeded in the quarter- and semifinals for WPIAL Class 2A. By defeating Mars in the 3rd Place consolation game, they qualified for states but lost in the first round.
• The Boys Tennis Team lost to Mt Lebanon in the WPIAL Class 3A Team Playoffs, finishing the season 7-5. They also cheered on Ani Garimella in the WPIAL Section Singles Tournament.
• The Varsity Softball Team earned a WPIAL playoff berth for Class 5A Section 3.
• The Varsity Baseball Team finished the season with 9 wins and 10 losses.
• In Esports, the Overwatch 2 Team Green captured the Spring PIEA conference championship and Valorant Team White finished in second place. This young organization keeps adding to their roster of victories.
• Unified Esports, in their first season, also came out on top, winning the PlayVS Spring 2025 Unified Esports championship after competing with schools in their league located across the country.
• Though not a district team, the Girls Varsity Hockey West Team included five players from SF who celebrated with their teammates after capturing the PIHL Championship and completing the season undefeated.
