FREE CHILD CAR SEAT SAFETY CHECKS
Shaler EMS offers free child car seat inspections to Shaler residents . Travel statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show that the risk of injury is dramatically reduced for children who are properly secured in an approved car seat . Unfortunately , over 80 % of car seats are not properly installed and 33 % of children are in the wrong type or size seat .
Shaler EMS technicians check child car seats to ensure compliance with national standards and if necessary , install a new seat at no cost . Schedule a checkup by calling 412-487-6590 Monday through Thursday 8:00 A . M . to 4:00 P . M .

SHALER AREA ROTARY CLUB
The Shaler Area Rotary Club awarded $ 2000 scholarships to two deserving Shaler Area seniors towards their postsecondary education . We want to again congratulate Ronald Molnar and Isabella Dutkovic . Ronald will be attending the University of Southern California to study biochemical engineering with an interest in medical school . Isabella is heading to Ohio University to pursue majors in political science and English . Our Rotary club also provided over $ 2200 to fund scholarships for local children to attend summer camps at the Boys and Girls Club in Millvale . To continue funding our community service projects , the Shaler Area Club hosts an annual charity golf outing at Wildwood Golf Club . Save the date for this year ’ s event on Monday , September 16th with a noon tee off . We have an open invitation and are in need of sponsors and golfers to join us . ELFINWILD LIONS CLUB
