Ross Township Sustainability News and Programs COMMUNITY GARDEN As seen on the cover of this issue of IN Ross magazine, Ross Township’s first Community Garden was started (thanks to our many volunteers) last fall. He also works with a great nutritional company to help his clients achieve optimal results in a healthy way! Come and enjoy the one hour workout of calorie burning dance fitness routines to your favorite music! Dance to hip hop, Latin, oldies, rock, and other genre’s during this fun and energetic fitness class! This spring, we will begin preparing the raised beds for the first crops! We are looking for volunteers who would like to take part in this community effort, alongside Michael Miller, our most recent Eagle Scout candidate that will be working with us on this project. Although Ross does not operate its own pool, we can suggest three options: Bellevue Municipal Pool, North Park Pool, & Valley Brook Swim Club. Ross will again participate with Bellevue Pool to offer resident rates for Ross residents. North Park (Allegheny County funded) Pool remains an excellent family value! ROSS DANCE CLASS FAVORITE: BEGINNER COUNTRY LINE DANCE BIKE/PEDESTRIAN COMMITTEE NEWS This is a great class for beginners to advanced line dancers. Every Thursday our local-favorite instructors, Ginny and Jerry Crawford, will walk you through many of today’s most popular line dances. No dance partner needed, and all ages are welcome. This is one of the longest-running classes at the Community Center. The instructors even take requests for line dances, and they do their best to help everyone learn!
