Take a look at the photos below and see if you recognize your recycling cart! If you do, don ' t worry— this is all in good fun and serves as a friendly reminder that recycling the right way helps keep our program efficient.
Remember: When in doubt, check what belongs in your recycling cart before placing items at the curb. A little extra care goes a long way in keeping our community clean and green!

PS – Aluminum foil / pans are not recyclable!
Purple cart is for trash! This cardboard box should be collapsed and in the blue recycling cart!
Boxes placed next to or on top of your recycling cart will not be recycled; they will end up in the trash. Collapse your boxes and place in the blue cart. If you don’ t have room, save them for the next week!

Recycling does NOT get bagged. Plastic bags tangle in the machines, wrap around rollers and gears. Recylced items MUST be loose and out of plastic bags.
These lids aren’ t closed, cans are too close together( minimum of 36” apart to allow the truck arm enough space), box needs to be collapsed.
NOTE: It is permissible to leave extra bags that did not fit, next to the can.
