Join us in celebrating our nation’s libraries,
and learn how they are transforming to meet
the needs of a quickly changing world. You’ll
have opportunities to celebrate the library in all
Departments during the week, some of which
are listed in this issue. These days it’s not only
about what we have but rather strengthening
what we can do for and with our members. Think
of us as your community’s family room, a place to gather, grow, learn, relax
and enrich.
It’s because of YOU, libraries transform!

The PT Library would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank
our more than 50 volunteers of all ages who help us to serve our community
throughout the year. The PTPL is definitely a better place because of these
individuals who generously share their time with us on a regular basis. You’ll find
our volunteers performing a myriad of duties including shelf-reading, assisting
with book donations, keeping our café stocked, setting up for chairs for programs
and so much more.
Interested in becoming a volunteer or a Friend of the Library? Contact Myra
Oleynik, Library Director, at [email protected].
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.

Anytime Learning
Today’s lifelong learners come in all descriptions and learn in many different
places and times. Therefore, in partnership with Public Access Channel 7 and PTHS
media students, the library is now offering instructional videos showcasing our
FREE electronic resources available to you 24/7. We’re calling these segments,
“Anytime Learning” and recently completed our first one; an introduction to our
Gale Courses. This 24/7 resource delivers hundreds of engaging instructor-led
online courses for professional development, tech skills, and personal enrichment.
Stay tuned for more “Anytime Learning” videos and watch for them on Channel 7.
