Winter “ Young Knights ” Session
Recently , the second session of Young Knights took place across all four Norwin elementary schools , drawing over 180 eager Young Knights and their families , as well as representatives from local preschools . Norwin teachers led sessions focused on fostering independence , mastering print tracking , and proper book handling techniques . Each participant departed with a wealth of materials and handouts designed to further cultivate these skills at home .
Thanks to a generous grant from United Way , the Young Knights preschool transition program has been made possible , allowing our district to collaborate with local preschools to ensure a seamless transition into Kindergarten .
The final session will be held on Monday , April 15 , 2024 . If you have any questions , please contact our transition coordinators Susan Seymour seymour . susan @ norwinsd . org or Kim Tarris tarris . kim @ norwinsd . org .
