FRANKLIN REGIONAL ADMINISTRATORS ARE ON THE MOVE
Franklin Regional values professional development and the advancement of its team members. This past spring, two FR administrators accomplished two milestones in their respective careers and three new administrators assumed roles with the District.
n Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Mary Catherine Reljac, successfully defended her dissertation at the University of Pittsburgh in June to earn her Ed. D. Dr. Reljac has enjoyed servicing FR since 2013. Her dissertation focused on the motivations, relationships, and decision-making of Western PA School Board members. She is responsible for leading the professional development and curriculum and instruction for FR.
n Dr. Richard Regelski, Director of Special Education, graduated in May from Leadership Westmoreland. Leadership Westmoreland is a program designed to foster the development and growth of future business and governmental leaders in Westmoreland County. The nine-month program included site visits and dialogue with key decision makers. Participants learned how the county operates, acquired insight into the decision-making process and gained access to vital resources. Participants immersed themselves in community projects, working in teams to study challenging issues and develop real-world solutions. Dr. Regelski also earned his Ed. D. in July from the University of Pittsburgh. His dissertation focused on“ The Effectiveness Of Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies On Reading Comprehension For Students With Autism Spectrum Disorder.”
