VETERANS VOICES OF MT. LEBANON 7 p. m., Wednesday, November 9
Mellon Middle School Auditorium Todd DePastino, president of the Veterans Breakfast Club and a Historical Society of Mount Lebanon board member, will host this event that will feature veterans— all of whom have a connection with Mt. Lebanon--sharing their stories. There will be an exhibit in the lobby of Mellon Auditorium highlighting a series of World War II posters from the Grove City archives.

Living Through Grief: Tasks of Grieving
Bereavement Workshop A four-part series
The approaching holidays and colder months can be especially challenging for those who have recently faced or are currently facing the loss of a loved one. We will be providing four unique programs in our Living Through Grief series that are designed to provide practical strategies to aid the bereaved in their grieving process.
7 p. m., Wednesday, October 5 Presenter David Klineburger, a clinical mental health counselor, will introduce and present the Four Tasks of Grieving.
7 p. m., Wednesday, October 12 Presenter Dr. Stahl, whose research focuses on promoting mental and physical health among older adults who are grieving the loss of a spouse or partner, will present emerging research on grief after bereavement and will lead a discussion with attendees about simple steps, including lifestyle choices that may serve to promote health and well-being after bereavement.
7 p. m., Wednesday, November 16 Mara Krotec Baginski, LCSW, and Laura Fauble, LSW, bereavement counselors from Family Hospice & Palliative Care, will share effective techniques that can be used to facilitate grief work and adaptation to loss.
7 p. m., Wednesday, November 30 Good friends can renew, restore, and revitalize the spirit. This thought-provoking presentation will identify the five friendships, embrace the unique gifts each type of friendship brings to our lives, and discuss how to sustain these friendships.

Struggling to find a job? Underemployed? Come to a WorkAble session. WorkAble combines the services of career counselors, regional employers, and volunteers to provide seamless services in geographically diverse locations throughout Allegheny County. Funded through the United Way of Allegheny County, WorkAble takes a holistic approach to helping people with their job search. Job seekers will work closely with a career counselor to create and implement a job search plan. WorkAble provides access to free one-on-one career counseling, workshops, employer-hiring events, career fairs, and networking opportunities.

Recycling Event 10 a. m.-1 p. m., Saturday, October 22
Commonwealth Computer Recycling will be in the larger parking lot behind the library hosting a hard drive shredding and electronics waste recycling event. Vehicle unloading assistance will be provided. Accepted items include computer equipment, cellphones, small appliances, cameras, calculators, typewriters, fax machines, keyboards, computer peripherals, and more. On-site hard drive shredding will be performed by CyberCrunch at a donation of $ 10 per hard drive. CyberCrunch personnel will be onsite to help remove hard drives from your computer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Mt. Lebanon Public Library.
Holiday Concert with Susanne Ortner 7 p. m., Monday, November 21
Enjoy a musical soiree with clarinetist Susanne Ortner and her band. Expect an evening of classical music, traditional Klezmer pieces, and jazz tunes in unusual arrangements. Ortner is internationally acclaimed both as a soloist and as a member various chamber music, jazz, and klezmer ensembles.
