GRAMS AND UPDATES
AARP DRIVER SAFETY PROGRAM
If you are 50 years of age and older,
you know that cars have changed as well
as traffic regulations, driving conditions,
and the roads we travel on every day.
The AARP Driver Safety Program
is hosted at the Millcreek Municipal
Building throughout the year.
First-time attendees MUST attend an
eight-hour, two-day course (4 hours each
day). If you have previously attended
the course, you are eligible to take a
four-hour, one-day “refresher course.” The
course is open to all Millcreek and non-
Millcreek residents.
In these classes, you will learn:
• defensive driving techniques, new
traffic laws and rules
• how to deal with aggressive drivers
• how to handle problem situations,
such as right-of-way and blind spots
• how to safely use anti-lock brakes, air
bags and seat belts
Best of all, those who complete the
course can earn a discount on their auto

DONATE BLOOD
AT THE MILLCREEK
TOWNSHIP BUILDING
You may live next door or walk past a hero every day in your
neighborhood and you do not know it. You can be a hero, too!
Donate blood with the Community Blood Bank and help save
your family, friends and neighbors right here at home. CBB
donors give blood less than 2 times per year. If all donors gave
blood one more time this year or if someone new donated one
time this year, you could help avoid blood shortages for the
patients in need in the local hospitals. The CBB brings a mobile
blood unit right to the township building to hold a blood drive.
Please mark your calendars for the following blood drives:
•
•
•
•
•
Monday, April 6th
Monday, June 8th
Monday, August 10th
Monday, October 12th
Monday, December 14th
All blood drives will be from 1:30PM-4:30PM at the Millcreek
Township Building, 3608 West 26th Street.
