Spring 2025 Request for Qualifications – Presque Isle Gateway District
The Millcreek Township General Authority, in partnership with Altair Consulting Group, released a Request for Qualifications( RFQ) for the Spring 2025 development cycle. The Authority was seeking qualified developers to collaborate on the revitalization and development of anchor properties within the Presque Isle Gateway District— a highly visible corridor leading to Presque Isle State Park. illcreek

These cleared parcels are strategically located and primed for new development opportunities. This initial RFQ process is intended to identify and prequalify capable development partners. Selected respondents will be invited to participate in a forthcoming Request for Proposals( RFP) phase. Five proposals were received and are currently under review.

BOARD MEMBER, LAITH WARDI
Laith Wardi was appointed to the Millcreek Township General Authority Board in February 2024.
Laith is a Millcreek Township resident and the Founder of ExecutivePulse, Inc. Since 2000, this Erie based company has provided technology & support services to the economic development industry throughout the United States and Canada.
Prior to ExecutivePulse, Laith worked for over a decade in local and regional economic development here in Northwest Pennsylvania.
In 2002, he received his economic development certification( CEcD) through The International Economic Development Council in Washington, DC. Laith is a longstanding instructor for that organization and the industry’ s other main governing body, Oklahoma University’ s Economic Development Institute.

Most people in Erie believe that Presque Isle is our most important natural asset. The Gateway Project creates synergies with Presque Isle and complements larger revitalization efforts that are underway throughout the region.”
He is a frequent speaker to economic development audiences across the US, Canada, and beyond on best-practice strategies, artificial intelligence, globalization, resiliency, and talent topics.
He currently serves on The Millcreek General Authority, Tom Ridge Environmental Center Board, and Enterprise Development Center of Erie County Board. Laith resides in Millcreek Township with his wife, Carla Orlando, DMD.
