MILLFAIR COMPOST FACILITY SAFETY RULES
ALL visitors MUST stop at the check in booth prior to dropping off or purchasing materials.
Children and pets should remain in vehicles at all times. Beware of large equipment in operation. Facility machinery has the right-of-way. NO SMOKING! No chainsaw usage is permitted at the site. Do not climb on the mulch or compost piles.
Visitors must securely fasten incoming brush and leaves before leaving their home and entering the compost center with tarps or straps. illcreek

Visitors must also secure purchased products from blowing onto the roadway before leaving the site.

Upon entering the site, you are at an active compost and recycling operation facility. Beware of vehicles, equipment and debris that may present dangers to you, your vehicle or your passengers. You must strictly comply with all signs and directions, written or verbal. Failure to do so may result in serious harm. Millcreek and Fairview Townships and its staff do not assume or accept any liability for death, injury, damage or loss that may occur during your visit to this facility.

Backyard Compost Workshop
Asbury Woods Nature Center Saturday, August 23rd
9:30 – 11:00 a. m. Program Fee: $ 30
This workshop, offered in partnership with Asbury Woods, focuses on diverting kitchen food waste from landfills by composting at home. Upon completion of the workshop, each participant will receive a Compost Wizard Jr. bin so you can put your new knowledge into action, saving valuable landfill space and producing nutrient-rich soil. One bin per household. You must participate in the program to get your bin. Bins will be available to take home after the program.
