Thespian Honor Society News
The Thespian Honor Society recognizes high school students who demonstrate outstanding dedication to theatre by earning credits through their participation in productions throughout their high school career. These students commit countless hours to performance and technical theatre and exemplify what it means to be artists and collaborators. The society is part of the Educational Theatre Association at both the state and national level. Here at Chartiers Valley, approximately 30 students earn membership into Troupe 2402 each year, which grants them access to opportunities such as attending state conferences, auditioning for college scholarships, participating in adjudication, and engaging in additional performance experiences at school.
The Thespian Honor Society Troupe 2402 hosted its annual CV Theatre Kids Camp on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Students in first through fifth grades spent the day exploring theatre through acting, singing, dancing, hands-on art and prop work, and even learning how to complete a scene change, just like the pros. The day concluded with a showcase where campers performed their own original scenes and a musical theatre piece for families and friends. It was a joyful celebration of creativity, confidence-building, and the power of arts education in our community.
