The Chartiers Valley Middle School theater department recently brought the enchanting world of Arendelle to life with a breathtaking production of Frozen, masterfully directed and produced by sixth-grade math teacher Charlotte Zelch. This ambitious undertaking was anchored by the compelling performances of seventh-graders Haleigh Halbrock and Finley Asti, whose portrayal of the bond between Elsa and Anna resonated deeply with the audience. The production thrived as a collaborative triumph, with seventh-grader Iker Antela delivering a performance marked by rugged sincerity and vocal prowess as Kristoff, while eighth-grader Aubrey Lesniak captured the comedic heart of the show as the lovable Olaf. Further enriching the cast, eighth-grader Paige Herzig charmed as Oaken, seventh-grader Clayton Kinnee balanced charm and intrigue as Prince Hans and seventh-grader Jordan Hartz provided impressive physical characterization as Sven. The technical“ magic” was equally remarkable, featuring immersive set designs and the meticulous efforts of the stage crew, who ensured seamless transitions throughout the evening. From the intricate harmonies of the Hidden Folk and ensemble to the visual spectacle of the winter landscape, every contributor demonstrated that the collective talent within the middle school theater group is truly a force of nature.
