On January 15, 2026, Chartiers Valley High School proudly launched its first annual Senior Field Trip, creating a memorable day of learning, reflection, and community for the Class of 2026. The idea for this special experience was developed by students in the Superintendent’ s Senior Advisory Panel, whose members wanted to provide seniors with a meaningful opportunity to connect with one another beyond the classroom while celebrating their final year together.

The day began with an educational visit to the Kamin Science Center, where students explored hands-on exhibits that sparked curiosity, critical thinking, and conversation. Seniors then traveled to Acrisure Stadium, gaining a behind-the-scenes look at one of Pittsburgh’ s most iconic landmarks. From the history of the venue to its role in bringing the region together, the tour offered students a deeper appreciation for the city they call home.
To conclude the day, the Class of 2026 gathered at the West End Overlook, where they shared hot chocolate, laughter, and a few class photos against the backdrop of the Pittsburgh skyline. The moment provided time to pause, reflect, and enjoy being together as a class.
The Chartiers Valley Class of 2026 truly exemplifies what it means to be dynamic, intelligent, kind, amazing, and unique. This inaugural senior field trip not only celebrated those qualities but also strengthened the sense of unity and pride that defines this exceptional group of students. The district looks forward to continuing this tradition for future graduating classes.
