On September 10th , the Parks and
Recreation held its annual Harvest Car
Cruise. The weather was great for this
event. There were approximately 54
cars entered. All of the proceeds from
this event are dedicated to help needy
families in the Canon-McMllan School
District. Proceeds will assist 22 families
this year.
The annual hayride bonfire was held
once again at Simmons Farm. This event
is very popular and well received by the
residents. There was a large turnout, with
lots of activities for the kids. Everyone
had an enjoyable evening and looks
forward to next year’s event.
Members of the Parks and Recreation Board participated in the Canonsburg Hospital
Trail this year. Members dressed up in their crayon costumes and passed out chocolate
bars and gummies.

On November 4th, a new event, Ladies Night Out, was held. This
event was well received by all ladies in attendance who enjoyed their
time of pampering and shopping.
