Brentwood Middle
School Veteran’s
Day Celebration
On Friday, November 8, 2013, Brentwood Middle School
invited twenty-two local Veterans to celebrate Veteran’s Day
with the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. These local heroes
ranged from WWII Veterans to those currently serving in the
armed forces. Lunch was prepared for the Veterans by the
Czerniejewski family in collaboration with food donations
from local stores. After lunch, each Veteran talked to small
groups of middle school students throughout the afternoon.
Each student had the opportunity to learn from eight different
Veterans. Brentwood Middle School was honored to have
the opportunity to collaborate with local Veterans to further
educate its students, as well as, celebrate the men and women
who have served and continue to serve our wonderful country.
