Learner-Centered Programming is designed to promote student growth, build meaningful relationships, and support both academic and social-emotional development. This structured approach encourages students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and connect with peers and trusted adults. Students also engage in responsive social-emotional learning groups that address topics such as stress management, building healthy friendships, and coping with grief. By emphasizing student agency, leadership, and personalized learning, Learner-Centered Programming empowers every student to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
ELECTRONIC BEAT MAKING
Through the University of Pittsburgh’ s College in High School program, this course offers Baldwin High School students the chance to create and produce their own music in styles ranging from hip-hop to heavy metal! Lessons include music theory, sampling, sequencing, effects, live performance, and more.
MUSIC FOR FILM
Explore the wonders of film scoring, including the role of music in storytelling, collaboration with filmmakers, and the technical aspects of creating and synchronizing music to visual media. Using hands-on projects and music composition software, students will gain a deep insight into the powerful relationship between movies and music.
DRONES & AERIAL INNOVATION
This exciting course is designed to meet the rising demand for skilled professionals in one of the fastest-growing segments of the aviation industry. GENERATIVE AI & PROMPT ENGINEERING
This innovative course is designed to prepare students for the future by exploring the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence( AI) and Large Language Models( LLMs). Students will learn how to craft effective prompts to guide AI, recognize and understand AIgenerated content, and apply these communication skills across various subjects and career pathways.
EARLY COLLEGE PROGRAM
Baldwin High School’ s partnership with CCAC offers high school freshmen the opportunity to earn free college credits in Accounting, Business Management, or Computer Information Technology, with tuition covered through a grant. Any college credits earned can be used to complete an Associate ' s Degree or Certificate program from CCAC or transferred to a four-year institution upon high school graduation.
FUSION PROGRAM
Baldwin High School will offer 11th and 12th grade students a flexible learning environment tailored to their individual learning journeys. Through a unique hybrid model combining virtual instruction, experiential learning opportunities, and in-person support, students are empowered to take charge of their education by exploring their interests while meeting academic goals in a way that suits their individual needs and future aspirations.
