BADGING
In Encore K-5, badging is a visual motivational tool that helps students, teachers, and parents recognize learning progress and celebrate the way small lessons can add up to big achievements over time. Students earn digital or physical badges when they demonstrate mastery of a specific skill. Badges provide positive reinforcement, build confidence, and make students’ accomplishments visible in an interactive way!
COACHING MODEL
The Baldwin-Whitehall School District’ s Instructional Coaching program is a collaborative initiative aimed at supporting educators, refining teaching strategies, and promoting ongoing professional growth. The coaching team partners with teachers to offer tailored support in areas like lesson planning, instructional techniques, data analysis, and implementing curricular resources.

INNOVATIVE SCHEDULE
To better support Whitehall Elementary School students’ academic and socialemotional development, we are restructuring their schedule to include a Daily Structured Play Block( interactive activities that foster communication, problem-solving, self-regulation, and teamwork), one“ Encore Day” every five-day cycle( which allows for deeper project-based learning), and pairing Encore subjects to increase cross-curricular learning( e. g., Physical Education with Health, Music with Art, Cyber Hub with the Innovation Lab).
CLEAN TRANSPORTATION
As part of our commitment to protecting the environment, the District is in the process of purchasing two new electric school buses( ESBs). These vehicles will provide better mileage, reduce maintenance and operational costs, and have far less environmental impact than our traditional school buses, which helps us contribute to a healthier future!
