INDUSTRY LEADING EDUCATOR: DR. PERETIN’ S LEADERSHIP RECOGNIZED
Dr. Janeen Peretin, Assistant to the Superintendent for the Baldwin Whitehall School District, has been recognized for her leadership in education with two honors. Dr. Peretin has been selected for the prestigious national 2026 Women in School Leadership Award presented by The School Superintendents Association’ s( AASA) on Friday, February 13 in Nashville. Dr. Peretin was selected as one of only two finalists in the U. S. and traveled to Nashville for a final interview and was surprised on stage with the national recognition. She has also been selected as a 2026 EDSAFE Women in AI Fellow, where she will be part of formative discussions on AI in education.
CELEBRATING CULTURE, CLOTHING, AND COMMUNITY
Whitehall Elementary enjoyed a vibrant, enriching celebration as the school hosted its annual Cultural Clothing Day. This special event invited every student to take part in a day-long journey around the world without ever leaving the school building. Throughout the day, students transitioned in and out of classrooms that were transformed into cultural destinations, each highlighting a different country.
