Since its debut, Taking It To The Streets has become Brentwood Borough’ s flagship summer event, bringing the community together through live music, food, and familyfriendly entertainment in the heart of Brentwood Towne Square.
Held on Saturday evenings from 6 to 10 PM, this free outdoor concert series has drawn steady crowds all season long, transforming Brownsville Road into a lively block party atmosphere. With two concerts still ahead, the series continues to offer residents and visitors a reason to gather, stay local, and enjoy the best of what Brentwood has to offer.
Each event is built around a headline band, but the experience goes far beyond the music. Children enjoy inflatables and yard games, while adults catch up with friends and neighbors. Dancing in the street and a rotating lineup of local food trucks help make each concert feel like a full evening out.
On August 23, BB Steal 80’ s Live brings a dose of rock nostalgia to the stage with their high-energy tribute to classic arena anthems. Then on September 27, The Suns of Beaches Band will close out the season with their laid-back, beach-inspired sound, perfect for one last summer evening outdoors.
For Brentwood, Taking It To The Streets is more than just a concert series. It’ s a celebration of community, designed to be accessible, inclusive, and fun for all ages. Whether you come for the music, the food, or the atmosphere, these events are a reminder of what makes the borough such a connected and vibrant place to live.
