NVNSA Hosted the Rising Stars of Nursing Symposium
The Nevada Nursing Student Association( NVNSA) hosted its annual Rising Stars of Nursing Symposium on Saturday, November 8, from 8:00 a. m. to 12:30 p. m. at the Aliante Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Hosted in collaboration with the Nevada Nurses Foundation( NNF) and the Nevada Nurses Association( NNA), the symposium brought together nursing students from across the state for a morning focused on professional development, networking, and inspiration. The event provided students with opportunities to engage with local businesses, organizations, and healthcare professionals who support their transition into the nursing profession. This year’ s symposium welcomed approximately 150 – 200 nursing students eager to connect, learn, and grow as future nurses.
Reflecting on the planning efforts behind the event, NVNSA Vice President Nicole Sierra shared,“ Behind the scenes of the Rising Stars of Nursing
Symposium, our team worked closely with the Nevada Nurses Foundation( NNF) and the Nevada Nurses Association( NNA) to thoughtfully plan every aspect of the event— from developing a dynamic itinerary and organizing an engaging nursing panel to securing an expert NCLEX speaker and reaching out to nursing students across the state. We also partnered with a variety of vendors to highlight the diverse professional opportunities available to nursing students in Nevada, including Taylor’ d Scrubs, HCA Credit Union, and Chamberlain / Walden University.”
Through collaboration, strategic planning, and strong community partnerships, NVNSA continued to create meaningful opportunities that prepared nursing students for success beyond the classroom. The Rising Stars of Nursing Symposium reflected NVNSA’ s ongoing commitment to professional development, leadership, and the advancement of nursing students across Nevada.
