Siham Dahir
University of Minnesota Twin Cities Minneapolis, MN
Hello NSNA members! My name is Siham Dahir and I am incredibly grateful for the privilege of serving on the Resolutions Committee this year. I am currently a fourth-year BSN student at the University of Minnesota with a minor in Public Health. Alongside this role, I serve as the president of my school’ s chapter of Best Buddies and as the IDE Director on the Minnesota Nursing Student Board.
In April 2025, I had the honor of attending NSNA’ s 73rd Annual Convention in Seattle as both a delegate and resolution author. It was an unforgettable experience. Hearing my fellow students present powerful and well-researched resolutions left me inspired and full of ideas to bring back to my school. I truly believe that resolutions are a vital part of NSNA as they bring together our unique identities, lived experiences, and shared challenges as student nurses to advocate for meaningful change in our profession and the communities we serve.
Outside of school, I work as a nurse technician at Mayo Clinic and volunteer there weekly. In my free time, I love traveling, exploring new cultures, and spending time with my friends and family.
I ' m so excited to continue this journey with NSNA and to grow as a student nurse, leader, and advocate. I can’ t wait to see what we learn and accomplish this year and the impact we’ ll make on the future of nursing!
