intimidating, especially for those submitting one for the first time. I believe every nursing student should feel empowered to advocate for issues they’ re passionate about, whether related to public health, nursing education, or professional practice.
Second, I plan to work collaboratively with my fellow committee members to ensure that each resolution is polished, evidence-based, and clearly aligned with NSNA’ s mission and values. By providing thoughtful feedback and guidance throughout the review process, I hope to help authors strengthen their voices and sharpen their calls to action.
Lastly, I am committed to ensuring that the resolutions brought forward truly reflect the diversity and innovation of our student body. Whether tackling health equity, mental health support, climate change, or workforce issues, I want to help amplify resolutions that not only respond to today’ s challenges, but also inspire the profession we’ re building together.
I’ m so grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Resolutions Committee and look forward to a productive, energizing year ahead.

Tri-County Technical College Pendleton, SC
Hello, NSNA Members! I am honored to serve as a 2025 – 2026 Resolutions Committee Member. I am pursuing my Associate Degree in Nursing at Tri-County Technical College in South Carolina, where I also serve as President of our Student Nurses’ Association chapter. I am also the Breakthrough to Nursing ® Director for the South Carolina Student Nurses’ Association.
As a first-generation college student, single mother, and advocate for diversity in nursing, I understand the barriers many students face in pursuing this profession. My personal journey has fueled my commitment to ensuring that all nursing students— regardless of background— feel empowered to share their ideas, advocate for change, and take leadership roles.
The Resolutions Committee gives student nurses the opportunity to transform their passion into formal proposals that can influence healthcare, education, and policy. This year, my focus is on supporting resolution authors with constructive feedback and guidance, encouraging participation from underrepresented voices, making the resolution process approachable for first-time participants, and promoting the real-world implementation of passed resolutions.
I believe resolutions are more than just documents. They are action plans that can spark change and improve patient care, education, and equity in our healthcare system. Whether tackling patient safety, public health, or systemic inequities, every resolution matters.
Balancing school, leadership, and motherhood has taught me resilience, time management, and the importance of leading with compassion and purpose. I’ m excited to bring those skills to my role on the committee and to work alongside my fellow NSNA members in shaping the future of nursing.
I look forward to connecting with you, hearing your ideas, and helping you bring them to life in Houston, TX at Annual Convention!
