Anna Scaria
Director Ohio State University College of Nursing Columbus, OH directorn @ nsna. org
Hi NSNA! My name is Anna Scaria, and I’ m thrilled to be stepping into the role of NSNA Director and Chair of the Ethics and Governance Committee for the 2025 – 2026 year. It’ s a privilege to be part of this passionate group of future nurses, and I’ m looking forward to everything we’ ll accomplish together. Being involved with NSNA has been one of the most rewarding parts of my nursing education so far, and I’ m eager to keep contributing in new ways.
I grew up in Cleveland, OH, and currently study at The Ohio State University, where I’ m working toward my BSN and planning to graduate in the May 2027. Over the past few semesters, I’ ve been actively involved in my school and state student nursing groups, where I’ ve helped coordinate events, mentored classmates, and shared resources that support our success. These experiences have shaped my passion for leadership, and I look forward to deepening my connections within the nursing community through NSNA.
When I’ m not studying or in the hospital, you can usually find me running, crocheting, or spending time with my family. I also love to try new foods and explore different activities to help me balance the busy schedule
of nursing school with hobbies that allow me to relax and have fun.
I’ ve always been drawn to healthcare because of the connection it allows me to have with others. I particularly enjoy the valuable impact nursing support can have on patients, which is why I chose this pathway within healthcare. In the future, I aspire to be a critical care nurse while continuing to further my education and experiences within the field.
This year, I hope to help strengthen our community by encouraging more involvement with the NSNA Code of Ethics, creating new opportunities for students to share their experiences through webinars, and ensuring NSNA members have access to understanding their role within Ethics and Governance. With these experiences, I hope to prepare and expose future nurses to various avenues that promote personal and professional growth.
I’ m looking forward to getting to know many of you throughout the year. If you ever want to chat, collaborate, or share ideas, don’ t hesitate to reach out! You can always email me at directorn @ nsna. org or follow along with what we’ re working on through our social media.
