THE PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT OF IMPERIAL TOBACCO IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE
THE ‘CHANGING THE SPECS’ PROJECT TO BE LAUNCHED IN 2018
T
he "We Deliver" incentive program, which is
being followed by the new project "Changing
the Specs", was initiated by the Procurement
Department in Russia and
started in financial year 2016. It was
aimed at encouraging joint efforts of
the project initiators and specialists
of the Procurement Department and
enhancing the efficiency of cooperation.
The results of the program exceeded all of
the team’s initial expectations – all the staff of the
central office became really involved in the project.
The highest-performing initiators and best
projects were selected based on the results of the
program: they were assessed in terms of their
compliance with the Global Procurement
Requirements.
Yuliya Basharina, with the project
"Leasing of Corporate Cars", was
the overall winner. Elena Iovchu
was awarded for the project "In-Store
Equipment – 'Norma' Furniture’." Two other
nominees, Viktor Bobrovnik and Anna Matushkina,
received runner’s-up prizes for "getting into
the Top 10."
“I very much enjoyed working alongside my
colleagues on that project. During this program, I
became very involved in the procurement process,
taking part in every stage of it: from drafting a
detailed brief to comparing tenderers' offers.
I was happy to have gained recognition
from my colleagues. I would be glad to
participate in a project like this again,” says
Anna Matushkina, Trade Consumer Insight
Manager.
“At the start of the project I didn’t actually know that
it was part of a contest in the ‘We Deliver’ program.
Almost all the projects that I work on involve
employees from various units. This program is
so important because it allows us to analyze the
collaboration among various functional units.
Based on the findings, we are able to adjust
the processes, making our joint work even
more efficient,” says Yuliya Basharina,
Senior Management Accountant.
Due to the interest from colleagues and the large
amount of positive feedback from the management
team it was decided that program will be repeated
and continued in financial year 2018 in a slightly
different format.
