CAI continued work on the
CONSTRUCTION of a new preschool building in Tajikistan , Preschool # 2 , that will help advance early childhood development and learning for over 120 preschoolers each year for decades to come .
147 SCHOLARSHIPS
were awarded to promising students at the high school and university levels ( 91 female , 56 male ), allowing them to continue their studies .
1,118 COMMUNITY MEMBERS
were trained to participate in school management committees , helping to foster community oversight of CAIsupported schools and enhance local support for education .
IN TAJIKISTAN , 50 aspiring female entrepreneurs participated in CAI ’ s women ’ s business training program , ASPIRE . They have joined 300 female graduates of the ASPIRE program since its launch in 2019 . A recent poll of 19 program graduates revealed that 50 % employ at least one other person in their new businesses , and several employ three or more people .
With CAI ’ s help , Kabirova turned a hobby into a flourishing business , employing 15 women !
