Upgraded graders
Finnish Veekmas is the Nordic countries ' only motor grader manufacturer. It offers three different sizes of specialised low-profile motor grader models for underground mines. The proper maintenance of underground haul roads is important because to keep traffic flowing, to promote long and productive tyre life, as well as truck and other vehicle availability. An UG motor grader is an essential implement to raise the capacity of production and logistics. By the means of an UG motor grader, underground drift road maintenance can easily achieve the same high quality road maintenance level as gravel roads on surface. Specially designed UG motor graders have greatly helped mine management better approach medium and long term design of haul road networks.
The Veekmas FG 5 C, Veekmas FG 7 C and Veekmas FG 15 C have been specially and originally designed for continuous road maintenance in arduous and limited underground conditions. The lowest model, the FG 5 C now has increased weight for better performance and enhanced grip and traction ability. Furthermore, this model now has enhanced middle blade ground clearance for better operating features. The middle blade attachment has been moved as close to the middle blade as possible. Thus it is easier to operate as the blade cutting depth is less affected when changing the blade cutting angle. Furthermore, exterior loading does not change the cutting angle or the cutting depth of the middle blade.
Both the FG 5 C and Veekmas FG 7 C now have new and advanced CANbus controlled IQAN control and monitoring system which allows versatile blade control automation and four different driver settings for different drivers or different working conditions. The system also allows automatic middle blade lifting when reversing. The output control of the electronically pre-controlled hydraulic system is continuous and is actuated by proportional valves. The speed of the hydraulics can be adjusted steplessly. The control movements of the hydraulic operations are especially accurate as the proportional movements of the joysticks are adjusted direct on IQAN touch display by changing the current values.
