Jebailey ?
Heissam Jebailey originates from Lebanon , the home of his parents , but he and his siblings were born in Canada . Orlando , FL has been his home since he was 5 and last year he established dual citizenship in the United States and Canada .
Before graduating from the University of Central Florida in May 2000 with a B . A . in Advertising and Public Relations , Heissam was Director of Sales and Communication for Quotes , the ad / PR club and a committee member for the Nicholson School of Communication . He was also a Roast and Toast Scholarship winner and the Ad / PR student of the year .
Upon graduating , he worked for UCF ’ s independent student newspaper , The Central Florida Future , for one year , before becoming publisher and co-owner of it . Along with business partner Brian Linden , he helped grow the publication from a once per week black and white tabloid with only one full time staff member to an award winning three times per week full color broadsheet along with dozens of other specialty products and 10 full time , 5 part-time and 40 freelance writers , photographers , distribution drivers and copy editors . Before Heissam took over there wasn ’ t a single documented award in the paper ’ s history and has since received over four dozen awards in editorial and advertising including best student newspaper in the country .

As an owner , Heissam provided over $ 30,000 in scholarships to over 50 UCF students per year and $ 10,000 to his alma mater and the School of Communications . He constantly organizes events and raises money as a lifetime member of the UCF Alumni Association and UCF Foundation . He is an honorary member of Quotes , the Golden Key National Honour Society and the President ’ s Medallion Society . He was voted UCF ’ s next Rising Star and one of America ’ s Brightest Speaking Stars . In 2007 he became one of the youngest UCF Professional Achievement Award winners in history as well as the youngest UCF NSOC Hall of Famer in 2012 .

Heissam eventually sold his company to the largest newspaper corporation in the country . While working as a consultant with the new owners for three years after and since his departure in 2010 , he has delved into event planning , promotions , public speaking , commercial real estate and a franchisor career .
His business holdings are multi-dimensional . From 2010 to 2013 Heissam served as developer and owner of two Menchie ’ s Frozen Yogurt Bars in Winter Park , FL which is the largest frozen yogurt franchise in the US .
