Affairs at the Seattle Police Department. The program
consisted of 18 families and 15 officers that discussed
various topics that affect the community.
Ron Sellon created a presentation that de-emphasized
traditional responses and emphasized team approaches
and community engagement. This shows the impact of
smaller community implementation of crime analysis,
problem oriented policing, and intelligence led policing on
community enhancement and reduction in disturbance
calls for service. He saw an almost 30% reduction in
domestic disturbance calls for service and an over 50%
reduction in general disturbance calls.
