REPO RT of PRO GRESS in PRO GRESS Carmen Best instituted the 8 -week Immigrant Family Institute in partnership with the Office of Immigrant Affairs at the Seattle Police Department. The program consisted of 18 families and 15 officers that discussed various topics that affect the community. Ron Sellon created a presentation that de-emphasized traditional responses and emphasized team approaches and community engagement. This shows the impact of smaller community implementation of crime analysis, problem oriented policing, and intelligence led policing on community enhancement and reduction in disturbance calls for service. He saw an almost 30% reduction in domestic disturbance calls for service and an over 50% reduction in general disturbance calls. Will Johnson participated in Arlington's 2nd Annual Unity in the Community Worship Service. Inclusiveness, diversity, and respect for all people was the recurring theme of this event. Cynthia Deitle participated in a hate crime panel at the Dar Al-Farooq Mosque in Minneapolis.
