As a coach, you focus on the issues, needs and emotions of the
coachee. Through active and empathic listening, including
asking questions and reflecting their feelings and the content of
their problem, you get a “yes, that is what I feel”, or “yes, that is
what I want” from them as a necessary basis for planning action.
